What began in 2010 as Brad and Donna Sultzer's garage hobby, driven by a quest for coffee delicious on its own, has blossomed into a respected local roaster. Since 2020, new owner Patrick Williams has upheld this founding commitment to quality, continuing their tradition of artisan, small-batch roasting right in their Kailua roasterie, where coffee tasting and discussions are welcomed. A cornerstone of their philosophy is a profound connection to Hawaiian agriculture. Kailua Town Coffee Roasters takes pride in sourcing 100% Hawaiian coffees, showcasing beans from Oʻahu's North Shore (Waialua), Maui, Kona, and Kaʻū, alongside select international offerings. This dedication is also reflected in their community support for local farms and initiatives. Visitors will find their original custom blends for drip, espresso, and cold brew, now part of an expanded selection, all crafted to bring out unique, complex flavors. Their partnership with Manoa Chocolate for chocolate-covered coffee beans is another delightful local offering.

Founded in 2010, Brad and Donna began with a small roaster and a desire to create the perfect cup of coffee. Through countless trials, roasts, and cuppings, they arrived at their goals in 2010 and haven't slowed down since. In 2020, the business expanded with the addition of now owner Patrick Williams. In addition to a fantastic new roasting location, the team is now able to really put the specialty roaster to work with stable bean storage in a climate controlled environment. Since 2010, Kailua Town Coffee Roasters has been roasting fresh, small-batch Hawaiian coffee for the local Oahu community. From our signature Kona Coffee to Waialua Coffee and Surfers Blend, every batch is crafted to highlight the rich flavors and unique character of the islands and other amazing coffee-growing communities across the globe.
