A tiny, owner-operated farm in the hui of Moloaa where the coffee and home-grown cacao are the stars. It's a deeply personal experience—you'll likely meet the owners, John and Daphne, and get a lesson on how to taste chocolate bars and pick ripe apple bananas. Go if you want a slow, intimate farm visit with a high-touch own-owner interaction. If you're looking for a polished, commercial tasting room or a quick, drop-in cafe stop, this isn't it.
Established in 1998, Moloa’a Bay Coffee is our family-run business that continues in the tradition of farming on the north shore of Kaua’i, Hawai’i. Located above Moloa’a Bay on former sugar/pineapple plantation fields and papaya farms, we have approximately 4,000 arabica coffee trees growing on 15 acres of land along with a variety of fruit trees, including citrus, banana, ‗ulu (breadfruit), loquat, and dragonfruit. We pride ourselves on taking part in all steps of the process of getting our award-winning coffee from farm to cup. We hand-pick and dry our coffee at our farm, then we roast and package the beans at our roasting facility in Kapa’a.
